Rice terraces and jungle in Ubud

MY Ubud Holiday is our Ubud specialist desk — villas in the rice fields, sunrise treks, cooking classes, spa days and drivers who know every back road between Ubud, Kintamani and the waterfalls.

Travelling To Bali

Bali sits just south of the equator, around two and a half hours from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, three and a half hours from Perth and a little over four from Bangkok, with direct flights from much of Asia and Australia. Almost every visitor lands at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in the south, and from there the island is small enough to explore by private car: beaches in the south, culture and rice fields in the centre, volcanoes and lakes in the highlands and the Nusa islands a fast-boat ride away. Our travel guides cover the practical side — entry rules and the tourist levy, getting around, weather, money and temple etiquette — so you can spend less time planning and more time on holiday.

Bali area guide

Four regions, four very different holidays — mix and match.

Where to stay

South Bali

Beaches, sunsets and the island's best-known resort areas — from surf-town Canggu and stylish Seminyak to the cliff-top temples of Uluwatu and the calm lagoons of Nusa Dua and Sanur.

Central & North Bali

The cultural heart and cool highlands: Ubud's rice terraces and art villages, the Mount Batur volcano, and the lakes, temples and waterfalls around Bedugul and Munduk.

East Bali

Traditional villages, royal water palaces and the famous Gates of Heaven at Lempuyang, with black-sand bays and easy snorkelling in Amed.

Nusa Islands

Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan — dramatic cliffs, manta rays and crystal-clear water, 40 minutes by fast boat from Sanur.

Frequently asked questions

How do I book a package, tour or transfer?

Choose what you like, pick a date and number of travellers, then tap “Check availability on WhatsApp” or send an email enquiry. Our team confirms availability and the final price in writing, then sends a secure payment link.

Are the prices on the website final?

Prices are shown in US dollars as a guide (“from” price). Packages are per person twin share; transfers are per vehicle. The final price depends on dates, hotel, room type and group size, and is confirmed before you pay anything.

Do I need a visa for Bali?

Many nationalities can buy a Visa on Arrival (or the electronic e-VOA before flying) valid for 30 days and extendable once. Some ASEAN passports are visa-free. Every international visitor also pays the Bali tourist levy. Always check the official Indonesian immigration website before you travel.

Which area of Bali should I stay in?

For a first trip of 7–10 nights, many travellers split their stay: 3–4 nights in Ubud for culture and rice fields, then 4–5 nights at the beach in Seminyak, Uluwatu or Nusa Dua. Add a night or two in Nusa Penida or Lembongan if you love snorkelling and cliffs.

Can I change the hotel in a holiday package?

Yes. Each package lists a standard hotel and upgrade options. We can also swap to a private pool villa, add nights or change the order of your stays — just tell us what you have in mind.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Send us your flight number when booking. Our drivers monitor arrivals at Bali airport and adjust the pickup time for delays at no extra cost.
